Our New Friends

We had the opportunity to have exchange students for a week in July. Liu and Liye are 15 year old boys from Beijing. Our kids loved having them here, like two older brothers. They were so polite and helped out with Ammon and Brynn where they could. We tried to entertain them and show them the great things around Syracuse. Ryan and Jill hosted a fabulous 24th pioneer celebration where my whole family got together. Ryan and Seth got a chance to practice their Chinese and translate for us. They spoke enough English for us to get by everyday, but sometimes it was funny to try to make sure we understood each other. We also got together with other host families and had a very busy and tiring week, but well worth the friendships made.
